 Annual Beneficial Ownership Form Submission

To maintain active Trust benefits, please complete the Beneficial Ownership Form and submit it along with a certified copy (not older than 6 months) of the minor’s birth certificate and guardian’s ID by 31 August 2025. 1. Who needs to complete the Beneficial Ownership Form?
This annual update applies only to beneficiaries of Trusts administered by Standard Bank Executors and Trustees and their legal guardians.

2.  Why do they need to complete the Beneficial Ownership Form?
This is an annual requirement under the Trust Administration Act to ensure beneficiary and guardian information is accurate and up to date.

3. What documents must clients submit?
Clients must provide:

  • Completed Beneficial Ownership Form for the guardian and beneficiaries
  • Certified copy of the minor’s birth certificate (certification must not be older than 6 months)
  • Certified copy of the guardian’s ID (certification must not be older than 6 months)

7. What happens if clients don’t submit by the deadline?
While we encourage timely submission to avoid any disruption, beneficiaries who do not comply by the deadline may experience delays in accessing Trust benefits. However, we strongly encourage all clients to submit the required information even after the deadline, as this ensures they receive the support and benefits available through the Trust efficiently.
