Existing Internet banking customers

Mobile banking (WAP) will be automatically registered if a customer has been registered for Internet banking:

Mobile Banking (WAP) – The same user name and password used for Internet Banking will be used to log onto Mobile banking (WAP)

Any Standard Bank branch

  • You must bring along a form of identification
  • You must have a mobile phone and valid mobile number to register for the above service(s).

Remember: Network charges apply, your service provider will charge for the amount of information sent to and from your mobile phone. These charges are low but are set by your network.

  • Keep your credentials and banking details to yourself to make sure that no one can access your bank account
  • Do your transactions in a safe environment
  • Don't let anyone see you entering your credentials
  • Lost or stolen mobile phones: Your banking details will be safe because they are not stored on your mobile phone and can only be accessed with your credentials
  • Use a PIN / keypad lock to lock your phone
