Standard Bank leaps into the future with revamped digital banking services

Launched under the #InlineToOnline DataDontMatter, the revamped digital banking services allow the bank’s customers access to Internet Banking, the Standard Bank App and PayPulse without airtime or using any of their data.


As part of the new Digital Banking services offerings, Standard Bank customers can now make real-time deposits into their Current Accounts and Savings Accounts and the cash will reflect in real-time.


Standard Bank customers can also make third-party cash deposits to other Standard Bank Current Account holders with a limit of N$5,000 per deposit.  They can, however, make as many transactions as they like. In addition, Standard Bank customers can make third-party cash deposits to other banks limited to 1 deposit a day with a maximum of N$5,000.


Selected AutoCash ATMs have also been updated with new screens and voice guidance to make ATM banking easy for visually and physically impaired customers.


Through PayPulse, an innovative mobile wallet introduced to the Namibian public by Standard Bank in March last year, Standard Bank clients, non-customers and the unbanked can make payments at selected merchants, including retail shops, fuel service stations, coffee shops and restaurants by either scanning a QR code or using a merchant ID or code.


Registered users can also buy airtime and prepaid electricity, pay municipal bills, DStv and GOtv accounts through the App in the comfort of their living rooms without having to drive long distances or stand in long queues before making payments.


With Paypulse customers can deposit cash at Pick n Pay, Woermann Brock and mobile kiosks and can also withdraw cash at mobile kiosks, Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay and Woermann Brock.

“Our Digital Banking channels are tailor made to each individual or business need. You don’t need a smartphone to transact, buy your daily needs or to send and receive money.
