Gaining access
It is easy to register for our Internet banking service, if you have a Standard Bank card that you use at an ATM. But before you register you must read and understand the terms and conditions.
To Register
Once you've clicked Register you'll be guided through these steps.
- Enter your card number, that is the 18 digit number on the front of your card.
- Enter the personal identification number (PIN) you use with that card at an ATM.
- As a new user you'll be prompted to change your PIN. The new PIN (referred to as a customer selected PIN) you choose here will work on only Internet banking. Your original PIN for that card will still work when using your card at an ATM.
- You'll be asked to create a password made up of letters and numerals. Remember this password for future sessions. This is part of our double-lock security system.
- Once your password has been accepted you'll be asked whether you agree to the terms and conditions.
- If you agree to the terms and conditions, you can enter your details in the registration form that will appear.
- You'll then have to call our contact centre at the number that is given to confirm your details and to have your access activated.
You can then access Internet banking by clicking on the Internet banking "Log on" link at the top of our home page and enter your registration details. You'll then enter the secure Internet banking site where you can explore the world of online banking.
